Known Facts: Born in a Chinese settlement deep in the Kwangtung provice. Mei Ling spent most her early years in San Francisco's Chinatown. Influinced by the many fighter plane films of the 80's she became increasingly interested in an air force carreer. Moving back to the U.S. to participate in ROTC (Army Reserve Officer Training Corps) program at the MIT and became an officer. Unfortunatly she later drops out due to lack of self-confidence due to her eyesight and the difficulty in acquiring the high standards needed. Infuriated by her poor vision this inspired her to develop a new visual radar system that would assist vision and thinking capabilities. Her inventions lead to military interest and she was hired for her expertise in image and data processing. Mei Ling worked together with technicians at NOR in Fort Mead and associates at ENPIC. Specializing in image processing, electronic and communicative espionage with the use of spy satellites, she is moved into being the managing and transferal of communicative data processing for the homebase to espionage agent. After the events of Shadow Moses she returned to Acadrmia, Mei Ling is well known for her use of Chinese Proverbs and makes an appearance in MGS2 when Otacon goes to far with his own!
She joins Philanthropy under the request of Otacon, but after the revelations of MGS3 is she an agent for the Chinese Philosophers?
