Lost Forest (I.FOR)

I.FOR

A small confined map consisting of 2 grass hills to the east and west. A central grass zone with a fallen branch and 2 warehouse ends where each side reforms from. This map is best played from the high locations as this gives you a great view of the small area and you have great grass cover.

Best Modes: Team & Solo Deathmatch

Ghost Factory (G.FACT)

G.FACT

A Beginners map and the first to be shown in the original trailer. The Map consists of a muddy / grassy area surrounding a 2 story building. Battle arround the building takes place between the many containers and vehicles so cover is plenty here. The building itself is for those after a sniping and urban combat. Those who hold the roof are very difficult to remove...

City Under Seige (C.U.S)

C.U.S

The best map in Subsistence. This abandoned building complex has tonnes of routes, cover and for those who prefer it roof placements. The combat takes place mostly in the center of the map between the players using the red brick roof and those trying to attack either from the other main roof or from many covered locations througout the map. Using the Box on here is the most effective as it hides you better behind cover and you look less inconspicuous among the many other empty random boxes...

Best Modes: ALL work brilliant on here

Kill House A-C (KH-A, KH-B & KH-C)

KH-A KH-B KH-C

These are the simplest maps in MGO and allow for quickl and easy combat.

  • Kill House A - Only consisting of 4 small boxes and next to no cover their, so its all about having your whits about you...
  • Kill House B - A larger map with a central high walkway that covers the map. Mastering the higher area and auto aim allows for very easy kills and a better perspective of the arena.
  • Kill House C - A rather unusual map, you'll find one team will hold a ¼ of the map while the otherside tries to attack. this can be difficult to play as cover you though you had can be flanked from the otherside.

Best Modes: Team & Solo Deathmatch

Svyatogornyj East (S.EAST)

S.EAST

Ported directly from Snake Eater with the only inclusion of a ladder (Previously a tree) to get to the roof. The battle consists really of one side taking cover and attacking the bushes while the otherside attacks from beyond the brush. But the best players make use of the cover to the south east of the map this gives either side a good view of another teams location and a much better surprise attack spot.

Best Modes: Team Deathmatch & Rescue Mission

Mountain Top (MNT)

MNT

Ported directly from Snake Eater with a tunnel linking the entrances. The largest map in the Online mode. This map is very open from above and below the only cover to speak of are the trenches and the 2 small huts. Combat is a swift and deadly affair, the middle ground is where most of the combat takes place most of which is in the trenches. Snipers have alot to say here to but their poor cover means they are found rather quickly.

Best Modes: Team Deathmatch & Sneaking Mission

MNT

Bar

Grinny Gorki Lab (G.G.L)

G.G.L

Ported directly from Snake Eater with additional windows for easier movement. A very confined map the combat consist of controlling the upstairs vs controlling the downstairs, with some players defending the upper floor from them... The best weapon in this confined location is the WP Grenades and the RPG-7 if you can find it.

Best Modes: Solo Deathmatch & Rescue Mission

G.G.L

Bar

Pillow Box Purgatory (P.B.P)

P.B.P

A special bunker level designed with lots of cover above and below the surface. Controlling the underground corridor with the SVD seems very popular and the outside map seems largely ignored. But if you did go outside you'll find alot of fun flanking the enemy from behind.

Best Modes: Team Deathmatch & Rescue Mission

P.B.P

Bar

High Ice (H.ICE)

H.ICE

Inspired by Kojima's greatest game Metal Gear Solid, this night snowfield is a great location for quick combat and allows for a certain degree of strategy thanks to the unclear weather conditions. The best locations to fight from are the east alcove and the south west.

Best Modes: Solo & Team Deathmatch

H.ICE

Bar

Brown Town (B.TOWN)

B.TOWN

Based on the battlefield that Solid Snake will be taking on in Metal Gear Solid 4, this map has an underground area that covers the north of the map. Their are plenty of arches for cover and long streets to snipe down. This map has camping spots but AWP'ers vary rarely last long because their cover is so easily found.

Best Modes: All work great here

B.TOWN
