LIQUID SNAKE THE SECOND SNAKE

Having eliminated Big Boss,
Solid Snake retired to Alaska to live out the rest of his life in quiet seclusion.
But fate had other plans in mind.
For it was then that another clone of Big Boss would appear.
His name was Liquid Snake.
It was the event of Shadow Moses that brought the two Snakes together.
The incident unfolded with the first recorded hijacking of a nuclear weapon.
In 2005, special forces took control of Shadow Moses Island,
located off the coast of Alaska.
The unit was led by Liquid in addition to other members of FOXHOUND.
Having secured hostages as well as the island's nuclear weapons disposal facility,
they presented Washington with a single demand.
They wanted the remains of Big Boss.
Solid Snake, no longer with FOXHOUND,
was called back into action by the military and ordered to infiltrate Shadow Moses.
Snake was then to make a shocking discovery within the artic wilderness of the island.
Yet another nuclear-equipped walking battle tank, Metal Gear REX.
Under secret development there by the U.S. government, it had been seized by Liquid.
The world stood on the verge of reliving the horror of nuclear weapons.
The old FOXHOUND versus the new.
The Solid versus the Liquid.
With Metal Gear REX and Big Boss's remains at stake,
the world of the two brothers had begun to intertwine.
Their combat experience virtually identical,
if Solid was the yang,
Liquid was the yin.
While Snake was revered as a hero both inside and outside the military,
Liquid participated in black ops the government kept a lid on.
Despite being Snake's twin,
Liquid had spent his life in darkness,
and he blamed Snake for it.
Full of hatred and anger towards his presribed destiny,
by obtaining Big Boss's body,
he would break the curse of his existence.
However, thanks to certain individuals interested in covering up the operation,
their confrontation met an unexpected end,
and fate would part them forever more.
