BIG BOSS (NAKED SNAKE) THE ORIGIN OF SNAKE

My pursuit of the man known as Solid Snake began after I'd acquired a document.
Contained within this document was information on a soldier.
His name was Big Boss.
A mythical figure among military insiders,
he's been called "The greatest soldier who ever lived."
Everyone knew his name,
though only a handful of people ever actually met him.
Some doubt if he really even existed.
A legend in every sense of the word.
However, according to this document made public by the military,
Big Boss indeed existed.
During the 1960's, he devised the fighting system known as CQC, or close-quarters combat,
and also infiltrated the Soviet Union after the Cuban Missile Crisis to help repair American-Russian relations.
It says Big Boss was a patriot of the highest order who spared mankind a Third World War.
The document contains a record of the entire incident.
After decades of cover-up and denial,
the military finally admitted Big Boss's existence.
Big Boss's successor,
and the object of my quest,
is Solid Snake.
The 1970s saw the U.S. military carry out an experiment.
An attempt to produce copies of Big Boss.
"Les enfant terribles," the project was called.
Out of the experiment came a man with the same body, abilities and inner strength of Big Boss.
This man was Solid Snake.
The product of advanced secret technology,
he was Big Boss's duplicate.
Big Boss, the original,
and Solid Snake, the clone.
They first met on the battlefield.
It was the 1990's.
Big Boss had established a mercenary company known as Outer Heaven,
and through it, aimed to control all the World's Wars.
He was also carrying a black project of his own...
Metal Gear.
A bipedal tank capable of launching a nuclear strike from anywhere on the planet.
Outer Heaven intended to use Metal Gear to destroy the balance of nuclear deterrence,
something the world couldn't allow.
A soldier was soon sent to Outer Heaven to take out Big Boss.
FOXHOUND's newest recruit...
Solid Snake.
Though defeated by Solid Snake,
Big Boss escaped to Zanzibar Land,
where he began development on a new Metal Gear.
Snake would later Infiltrate Zanzibar Land as well,
his objectives being to take out Big Boss for good and once again destroy Metal Gear.
It was there that Solid Snake killed Big Boss,
completely unaware he actually a clone,
with Big Boss his "father."
The Outer Heaven Uprising.
The Zanzibar Land Disturbance.
So historians have come to all the incidents.
When it comes down to it, however,
they were essentially tales of patricide.
